OSHA Safety Classes - Required Each Year

These classes are mandatory to be completed by staff, each and every year. MSDS has made it easy to complete by giving you all the tools you need. Remember, each of these classes start with a citation of up to $7000.00 dollars with a minimum of three years of rosters that must be kept for viewing. That could be $21,000.00 per class and 10 mandatory classes = $210,000.00 dollars. Just for safety classes alone. We have found if you print off one safety class a month and allow the staff the month to view and to sign the roster, then you monthly class time is cut down considerably. Don't forget to have a senerio for the staff to help them relate to each class. Reading alone does not help all staff members. Staff retains material with verbal interaction and hands on.

Policies and Procedures - All States

We will not have policies and procedures for each individual states. I will title the sheets in some way to let you know what state they came from. But I also did not want a office from Virginia to miss out on an outstanding policy from Ohio, etc

Health and Human Services (Medicare & Medicaid) - Federal

HIPAA - Health and Human Services - Federal

Website: www.hhs.gov The Office for Civil Rights enforces the HIPAA Privacy Rule, which protects the privacy of individually identifiable health information; the HIPAA Security Rule, which sets national standards for the security of electronic protected health information; and the confidentiality provisions of the Patient Safety Rule, which protect identifiable information being used to analyze patient safety events and improve patient safety.

EPA - Environmental Protection Agency - Federal

EPA's purpose is to ensure that federal laws protecting human health and the environment are enforced fairly and effectively; national efforts to reduce environmental risk are based on the best available scientific information and environmental protection is an integral consideration in U.S. policies concerning natural resources, human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade, and these factors are similarly considered in establishing environmental policy.

OSHA's Hazard Communication

The purpose of this section is to ensure that the hazards of all chemicals produced or imported are evaluated, and that information concerning their hazards is transmitted to employers and employees. This transmittal of information is to be accomplished by means of comprehensive hazard communication programs, which are to include container labeling and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets and employee training.

Our clients do not have the time or staff to research all the different sites that pertain to new regulations for dental offices.

As a client of MSDS, we do the research for you. If new information or regulations from OSHA, your Dental Board, or other government entities, are found, MSDS will email you a brief newsletter. The links will send our clients back to our website where they can read the full article or regulation. Clients that have questions about any new or existing regulations, MSDS will request an emailed answer from the government agency requesting an interpretation of the regulation. These questions, with a link to the answers, are also placed on the newsletter. All questions are sent from MSDS, without the clients name, to ensure confidentiality and to take the risk of an unexpected site inspection.
